Be Inspired is an event that seeks to Inspire, Empower and Equip care experienced young people, who want to take hold of their future, learn about different career opportunities and connect with each other.

The first event took place in August 2019 and after the overwhelmingly positive feedback from young people, speakers, panel guests and performers as well as exhibitors, we decided to bring the experience back in 2020, and now we’re happy to announce Be Inspired 2021 as a 60 min show, live streamed on July 30th at 4pm.

After growing up in care from the age of 4, founder Ashley John-Baptiste, now a Senior BBC Reporter and Presenter, has always had his mind set on creating something for young people with similar stories to his own that would help them believe in themselves, see a better future and find out about all the opportunities out there. Opportunities that are there for anyone – regardless of background, and help them find ways to access those.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, we are not able to host this experience in person this year, but are instead, curating encouraging, relevant, inspiring ONLINE content for care experienced Young People to participate in.
